About The Hansang
한상 차리다 — to lay out a full table, nothing missing.
What is The Hansang?
The Hansang is a Korean food, recipe, and culture guide built for Singapore. Restaurant reviews you can trust. Recipes adapted for Singapore kitchens with local ingredients. Travel guides for Koreans trips planned from SG. All in one place.
한상 literally means a full Korean table spread. Everything laid out, nothing missing. That is the standard this site holds itself to.
Who runs this?
Eric Youn. I grew up between Korea and Singapore, and I have been making food content for years. I film, cook, eat, write, and build this entire site. If you have seen my videos on Instagram, this is the home base for all of that, plus the recipes, guides, and recommendations that do not fit into a 90-second reel.
Why this exists
Singapore has incredible Korean food, but finding reliable information about it is scattered. Reviews are thin. Recipe sites do not account for what you can actually buy here. Nobody was connecting all of it in one place.
The Hansang fills that gap. Every restaurant review comes from a real visit. Every recipe is tested in a Singapore kitchen with ingredients sourced from local supermarkets and Korean grocery stores. Every travel guide is written for someone flying out of Changi.
What you will find here
- Eat — Honest restaurant reviews across Singapore. KBBQ, stews, noodles, cafes. Filtered by MRT station and price range.
- Cook — Korean recipes adapted for Singapore. Every ingredient comes with a local sourcing tip so you know exactly where to buy it.
- Travel — Korea travel guides built for Singaporeans. Itineraries, food maps, and the spots locals actually go to.
- My Pantry — The Korean cooking staples I actually use. Ingredients, tools, and where to find them in Singapore.
