Visitors Cafe: A Korean Cafe in Tanjong Pagar, Singapore

Watch the full reel

They will say do not post it, just enjoy it. But this Seoul-style cafe is worth saving. Visitors completes the Tanjong Pagar K-food circuit, the kind of spot you walk into after KBBQ and briefly forget you are still in Singapore.

The Setting

Visitors is by the team behind Noci Pasta Bar, Tonshou, Seoul Noodle Shop and Wonderful Bapsang. The interior gets you first, all natural light, minimalist wood and a proper Seoul cafe calm, with alfresco seats outside. What got me was that the food actually matched the vibe. It opens daily from 8am to 10pm in Tanjong Pagar Plaza, near Tanjong Pagar and Maxwell MRT.

What To Order

Drinks lead. The Ube Latte at S$7 and the iced-only Visitors Cream Latte at S$8 were creamy, balanced and not too sweet.

The Croissant Butter Selection is S$15, plus S$1 for the prosciutto and arugula. That was my first prosciutto-arugula croissant, and it made far more sense than I expected: crispy, flaky, salty, peppery. The Bread and Butter Plate at S$17 came out looking almost too pretty to tear into.

The Basil Garlic Chicken Sandwich at S$18 is loaded: marinated chicken, basil garlic mayo, arugula and sun-dried tomatoes, and the sun-dried tomato is what ties it together. For dessert, the surprise winner was the Mugwort Basque Cheesecake at S$11. I did not expect the combination to work, but it is earthy, creamy and genuinely good.

The Numbers

Most drinks and plates sit between S$7 and S$18, and this order averaged roughly S$13 per item. The menu states no service charge and GST included, which is rarer than it should be in Singapore.

The Verdict

Open till 10pm, so if you are around Tanjong Pagar after a KBBQ dinner and want a cafe that feels like part of a Korean night-out circuit, this is the spot. Go for the cafe-hopping vibe, stay for the cream latte, and do not skip the mugwort cheesecake.
